Note to readers: This document was last reviewed January 2025 and applies to use of The Carvery website operated from Ontario, Canada.

Template notice: This is a template document. Review with a qualified Canadian lawyer before publishing on a live website.

By visiting and using The Carvery website (thecarvery.ca), you agree to the terms set out below. These terms govern your use of the site — not the terms of any catering service engagement, which would be covered separately in a catering agreement or proposal. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site. If you have questions, our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Section 01Use of This Website

This website is provided for informational purposes — to tell you about The Carvery, our catering services, our menu, and our partnership opportunities. You may use the site for these legitimate purposes.

You agree not to use this website to:

  • Attempt to access systems, data, or networks without authorisation
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content via any form or communication method on the site
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce content from the site in bulk for commercial purposes without our written consent
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting enquiries or contact forms
  • Interfere with the performance or functionality of the site in any way

We reserve the right to refuse, restrict, or discontinue access to this website at our discretion, without notice, if we believe these terms are being violated.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit an enquiry or enter into a catering agreement with The Carvery. By submitting a contact form, you confirm that you are 18 or older or are acting on behalf of a business with the authority to do so.

Section 02Accuracy of Information

We do our best to keep the information on this website accurate and current. However, we make no guarantee that every detail on the site is complete, error-free, or up to date at the time you read it.

In particular, please note:

  • Menu items and prices are subject to change without notice. Prices listed on this website are indicative and may not reflect current pricing at the time of your enquiry or event.
  • Service availability — the catering services described on this site may not be available on all dates or in all locations. Availability is confirmed only through a direct quote or proposal from our team.
  • Nutritional and allergen information — while we take food allergies and dietary requirements seriously, this website does not carry a comprehensive allergen guide. Always communicate dietary requirements directly with our team before placing an order.
  • Business information — our operating hours, service areas, and contact details may change. The most current information is obtained by contacting us directly.

Pricing note: All prices shown on this website are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes. Final pricing is confirmed in writing through a formal proposal or quote.

If you spot an error on this website, we'd appreciate you letting us know. Contact details are in Section 7.

Section 03Intellectual Property

All content on this website is owned by or licensed to The Carvery, unless otherwise stated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The Carvery name, wordmark, and logo
  • All written content, copy, and descriptions
  • Photography and images displayed on the site
  • The design, layout, and visual identity of the website
  • Menu items, product names, and service descriptions

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent. This applies to both commercial and non-commercial use.

Limited personal use is permitted: you may share links to pages on this website, and you may print or download content for your own personal, non-commercial reference (for example, saving a menu for your own use).

If you wish to reproduce any content for commercial purposes — including in a press article, pitch, or marketing material — please contact us first. We are generally happy to assist with reasonable requests.

Section 04Limitation of Liability

This website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in Ontario, Canada, The Carvery and its owners, operators, employees, and agents will not be liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website
  • Any reliance you place on information contained on this site, including menu descriptions, pricing, or service availability
  • Any errors or omissions in the content of this website
  • Temporary unavailability of the site due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances outside our control

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Canadian law, including liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or death and personal injury caused by negligence.

Any formal catering service agreement between you and The Carvery will contain its own terms regarding service liability, cancellation, and refunds. These website terms do not constitute or override such an agreement.

Section 06Governing Law

These terms of service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from your use of this website or these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or removed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Updates to these terms: We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
